Special Sundays in the Methodist Church
The day of Pentecost, the Bible says, was when the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus’ disciples, leading them to speak in many languages as evidence that they had been baptised in the Spirit.
One way of thinking of Pentecost is that it is the birth of the Church.
